Grub will not show up

Grub will not show up

So I installed Ubuntu 13.04 on my laptop that came with windows 8 pre
installed. It installs, and it says grub installs, and i'm currently using
it now, but it's not very convenient to get into ubuntu. I've tried boot
repair on both live cd and while running the installed ubuntu. It doesn't
show up, it boots just like normal. HP logo spins for a bit, then my
windows 8 pops up. To get to Ubuntu, I have to go to pc setting -> general
-> restart for advanced options -> UEFI bios settings -> press F9 to load
up boot options and then Ubuntu it listed on that list, and when I click
on ubuntu Grub shows up and I have to click on Ubuntu to boot it. I have
tried changing boot order, but there is no option for Ubuntu.
Is EasyBCD an option? I'm not sure why I can't get grub to load, it will
not show up under the boot order. Secure boot IS disabled and so is fast
boot.
